Pulmonary Hypertension

This condition is high blood pressure in the lungs and in the vessels going into the heart.  When the blood pressure is high in the lungs it is more difficult for the heart to pump and it reduces the flow of blood back to the heart, which creates a continuous cycle, destroying the vessels. When pulmonary pressures are less in the aorta than in the pulmonary artery, life expectancy is not more than two years. This condition can be closely related to sleep apnea.
